i'm an idiot, please forgive me
please forgive me, i don't know much when it comes to techincal things. i'm pretty sure my car needs a tranny mount(thumps during shifts if i step on it but is okay if i baby it). as far as i know, there is only one mount. since i don't have a place to work on it, i took it to a dealer. he asked which mount it was. is there more than one? as i said, i don't know much. any help will be gratefully appreciated. thanks in advance. bill

Get your car out of the dealr right now!!!!!! They will only rob you!!!!!!
If you don't have a place, do it at a friend's place or something, but not at a dealer!!!
Go to AutoZone and buy one for 15-20 bucks and all it takes is a level place to work on (driveway/garage etc.), jack, basic tools and 15-30 minutes.
And there is only one tranny mount.

Don't let the dealership rob you! Get an Energy Suspension bushing and change it your self, its easy and will only take 30-45mins. There is only one bushing, located b/t the trans and the trans crossmemeber. Do it youself and put the saved money toward other mods

I was going through stock tranny mounts left and right on my car, until I replaced it with the 1LE tranny mount. granted it is more expensive, (about $50 i think ???) but i have not broken it. It is definitely something that can be done by urself. should't take more than a half hour with a jack and proper tools.

don't worry folks, i walked away from the dealer when he said he wanted $45 bucks just to figure out which one it was. since that is way too much and as far as i knew there was only one. i'll be moving into a house soon and will be able to do it myself then. i just wanted to make sure there was only one mount. thnx for all the help.

Get an LS1 stock tranny mount. Direct fit, soft and durable. I have the poly energy suspension mount and it's rough, my friend has an LS1 mount and it is smoother (if you can describe it that way).
