I'm getting better 60' with crap bald tires than with ET streets

Went up to Norwalk tonite and not a happy night. I pulled a 2.05 and a 2.08 60' with the ET streets which were consistent and good but somehow only turned a 13.755 @ 101.76 as compared to my time in the sig. I was stalling it to aroudn 1500 each time.

Then as the last run of the night, I freaking pull of the ET streets and throw them in the trunk and put on my bald **** 5 year old tires and somehow pull a 2.022 60' and run my best run of the night a 13.64 @ 101.47. My launch was just from idle and smash and I did not expect them to grip and that is why I didnt stall up but they hooked and there I went.

Now maybe it is just me but something is wrong there. Are the ET streets too much for my power. I still would think they would give me better 60's than my bald tires. I have seen people with less power than me using them to pull 1.9s. WTF.

Well the LCAs, relocation brackets, and SFCs are going on in a couple weeks. I am just going to stick with my stock bald tires until I get some more power. No sense wasting the ET streets.

EDIT: With my mods, what kind of 60' times do you think I should pull. I had a 2.035 with just CAI and Borla.

What pressure were you running the ET Streets at? Did you do a good burnout? Soemthing doesn't add up.

I always forget PSI.

ETs= 25
Bald= 30

I did I decent burnout wiht the ETs. Not John Force but they smoked. The other day I didnt know how to heat them up at all and was pulling 2.3 and 2.4s with them.

More than one variable changed.

You were launching at 1500 and then you were launching at 1500. You also changed tires/wheels.
The weather also changed.

I don't think you can quantify the minimal improvement you received based on one run.

I get a better sixty foot time if I launch off idle because of the way my torque converter hits.

OK,you say you removed the ET streets and threw them in the trunk,then made your last pass. Where were the street tires when you were running on ET street's? out of the car?

Like tnthub said,there were too many changes to verify it 1 way or the other.
