ignition question?

there is a little black piece square on the wiring harness that is around the ingnition module. What is this can it go bad i am guessing it is somekind of fuse. Can it cause a no start? the car cranks been over everthing else. I would have a picture of it but cant figure out how to post pics the the message forum.

Until you post the pic, I can't say. You could try webhosting it and posting the link.

Perform these tests to try to find your no-start problem and post the results (courtesy of shoebox):

Good luck.

What year is your car? Not all years of the LT1 have the same wiring. I think the 93, for example, has a filter for the tach..... some years have dual connector coils, some years have single, etc.

Why not add a "signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, engine, trans and any major mods.

The black piece you are talking about is the tach filter. I wouldn't think it could cause the car not to start, but I'm not positive.
