For the last couple of days the car has just died while driving down the road after about 5-10 minutes. It will not start back up. After a while it will start and do the same thing. I finally got it to die at home and I checked for spark and I am getting no spark from the coil to the opti. I changed coils and still same problem. What tells the coil to fire? Any suggestions....the opti is only a couple months old could it be the opti? does it tell the coil when to fire?

 

sounds like an ICM (ignition control module) issue, those are usually the symptoms


it is located right near the coil
