Ignition problem...???

I'm not too sure if its the Opti but i hope not, only has like 2k on it. When i give it gas it bogs all across the rpm band. It's not a real heavy bog, but enough to feel it's in a strugle. I had it scanned and no codes, I'm thinking it could be a burned spark plug wire, but last night i checked in the dark for any spark arc and there was none. Has a new ICM as well. Could it be a fuel problem? I'm still having trouble with FP as it bleeds off to 0 PSI in less than 5min off turning off. I checked injectors for any leaks, FPR, and lines to the fuel pump. Everything seems to be good. is going on.

Re: Ignition problem...???

I would start with ignition module and coil then coil wire. Much cheaper.

Re: Ignition problem...???

I have a new ICM... I also changed plugs last night and it made a slight difference, I went with autolite 104's, Are they good for a full bolt-on hot cammed LT4?

Re: Ignition problem...???

Okay, problem seems to be throughout the whole rpm band . I know when my opti's have been bad, the car wouldn't start all the time and i had to give it gas under 2k or it would stall. It turns right on and will drive, problem occurs as i put it in drive, in nuetral it revs up fine. Will do this when both cold/hot.

Re: Ignition problem...???

i have this same prob, but it ends around 2.5k-3k rpms...

i can hear the exhaust change notes while accelrating very slowly.

im going to change the coil in a while and see if that helps.

did my fuel filter and that did nothing. I also have a DYNAspark, so i know thats not it. And i have the OVTC taylor made wires too. Bout 1.5-2 years old with tr6's in my car.

I swear it didnt ever do this before i got my tune. I think the tuner messed my car up.

Re: Ignition problem...???

how old are the injectors...i had a similar problem and it had a crapy idle. i pulled the plugs to check for dampness but they were black(a sign of running rich). all the plugs on the passenger side were black and all the plugs on the driver side were fine. i puled the injectors and rigged them up to check the spray. turns out they werent spraying a mist it was more of a jet stream. i changed those and ta-da...runs perfect.

Re: Ignition problem...???

I checked injectors they are good. Although i think it's been my wires all the time. I let the car idle for 30min. then went out to look under hood late last night, and i could see like 4 wires arcing. I jacked car up and from underneath i could see that #6 was glowing in spark. I just ordered otvc kit. Hope it helps some.
