Ignition Coil Suggestion

More questions... I'm replacing the ignition coil in a '97 SLP LT-4 Camaro, and I was wondering what one I should go with. We wanna give this car some juice.

The stocker is a good coil. Some people have had good/bad luck with aftermarket ones, although you won't see much difference if any with one. This will be the general consensus on this subject.

Been here, seen this type of thread a hundred times.

Just watch......

Hah! Think I should just go to Autozone and pick up a new whatever-they-give-me coil then?

Or get a new MSD coil. It's supposed to provide like an extra 20-30% spark strength over stock. It's a pain drilling out the rivits that hold it to the mount though.

I ran a MSD coil in my 95 for about 10K miles and it crapped out. Switched to a Crane PS-91, it's been fine for 30K+ miles.

An AC Delco replacement should work just fine. On the other hand, I've got almost 40,000 miles on my MSD coil with no problems.
