If you remove the EGR do you need to keep that black sensor thing that goes on the last stud on the drivers side? It doesn connect to anything..all it does is accept a harness clip.

Can I get rid of it?

Do you mean the EGR solenoid? I'll copy Shoebox's EGR Photo .

That can be removed. Also remove the vacuum line all the way back to the nipple on the manifold, and put a vacuum cap over the hole in the manifold. I assume you have the complete EGR system programmed out, or you will get a code for the solenoid not being there.

Yep thats it Fred..and yes the EGR system is all deleted out of the program. I thought it was funny that it was just sitting there by itself..

Thanks.

There should have been a vacuum line from the middle of the intake, drivers side, to the solenoid. And another one from the solenoid to the EGR valve. Somebody must have stolen it.... .

Shoebox isn't the only one with photos

The vaccuum lines were already taken care of. The LT's went on two winters ago and that sensor had been sitting there since all by itself...
