Ok, I've heard that one year has it above the oil filter, and other years have it on the back of the block behind the manifold. This should be the one above the manifold.

Ignore the oil leak

The question is, why are both on the same car? I thought I would have no oil pressure on the gauge after doing the LTs, because the wire broke off the one near the filter. To my surprise, it still worked. I figure its getting the reading off the one on the top. So, why have 2? Anyone else have this? Can I remove the one on the side and plug it with something?

The one on the back of the block is definately the OP sending unit. I don't know why you have 2...

Pretty strange! Sure your car is a '94? Stock engine?

My '95 has the sensor on the top back of the block by the EGR valve.

And there was a pipe plug in the hole right above the oil filter (which I replaced with a sender for an oil temp gauge).

Very odd indeed! So you are saying that both the sensors on your car have wires attached?

My 9C1 has a sending unit and a dummy light switch. On top behind the manifold.

If the lower one has no wire to it, just remove it and plug the hole. Someone added it.

It looks like someone may have replaced the original oil filter holder? with one from a 93 and left the sensor in as a plug.

I agree with toegead93. I am going through this right now with a broken sensor on my 93. It looks the same.
