idling rough

Ok. I was out for a leisurely drive and found a viper. Needless to say we played for a bit. However, later that night coming home I noticed my car idling a lot rougher than before. The RPMs are exactly where they should be, but the car vibrates more and it doesnt feel good. Once I am in gear and driving it is fine, but at a stop it is bad. Any ideas?

you have to do the basic stuff first, fuel filter change, clean the inside of the tb, check wires, and plugs, if you do all of that and you still have problems then come back.People have reported that replacing the factory spark plugs with better ones like NGK TR55s and wires smoothened out the idle a bit.

have oil, replaced air filter, cleaned MAF, wires n plugs are new (4 months old) and not worn, tb cleaned all this and still doing it but only when idling. It scares me. I am going to change the oil tomorrow and see if it helps its been 3000 miles.

yeah, you changed your oil, but did you check now to see if its full or not?? last year when i lost half the oil in my engine thats exactly what my car was doing. shaking violently at idle. very well could be something else but you lose nothing by checking again hth

well it seems to correct itself at times. Sometimes is idles rough other times it doesnt. Thus, I dont think it is ignition related. I was told to check the vacuum lines, and then use fuel injector cleaner. Think this is a good idea? If so what type of cleaner?
