Idle is too high..
Okay yall my car idles at 1000rpm's from my understanding it's suppose to be.. 800-900... I losened the retaining screw on the throttle linkage, but still no change, and it's not even touching the linkage anymore.. and after I ported my MAF (which is pretty now hehe) it increased the idle rpm's Oy, can anyone help? I'd like to lower it, cause you really hear the cam lobing at 800 ^_^

Where are you getting your readings from? The stock tach., as you know usually reads about 200-300 high.
Idle should be high enough to keep your engine from stalling with an M-6 and low enough to keep from creeping with an A-4.
I beleive mine is around 950 with M-6 and baby cam. Tach reads around 1100. JMHO

A4 or M6? (a "signature" eliminates people having to ask these questions )? Any mod's? Stock or modified PCM programming?
Stock idle speed for the M6 is 800rpm, which can show up as 900-1000 on the stock tach. Stock idle speed for an A4 is 550rpm in gear, and 650rpm in neutral.

It's probably idling right where the stock programming is trying to keep it. You can't really do anything without going into the PCM.... and since you have the LT4 HOTcam, you need to get it programmed anyway. Tell them what idle speed you want, but there may be limits to how low they can go, depending how the MAP responds to the cam.
