Idle RPM with small cam?

With a small cam, is it ok to keep the idle a little on the low side? Like most guys I'd prefer to hear the cam lope some. If the duration is in the 22x range with a 111 lsa, would an idle speed of 650 in gear be to low? It's an auto and I'm looking for any input of how low I can go and not have any problems. Thanks

There is no SET RPM.Go as low as it will stay running with air on and in gear and run smooth and not die when you pat the gas quickly holding the brake.Usually around 700-750RPM's with everything on and in gear.

My friends hot cam was able to hold an idle at 550 rpms. You could really tell it had a cam then. My friend ended up setting it at 700rpms, that way it idled smooth, but you could still tell it had a cam at idle.
