Idle help!!!

Idle help!!!
My idle is way to low right now for my setup, a 383 with a somewhat big cam LT1. I used tunercat to set the idle 3 times and the idle stays the same or moves up slightly. I set it to the max and I still idle around 500 rpm's so I know now it's not the tuning but something else. I dont see any vaccum leaks so I'm lost. What else controls the idle? I cant even turn my wheel in idle without it cutting off and the smell of gas is killing me and my eyes. Any ideas?

Re: Idle help!!!
The stock TB has a "bleed hole" in the lower center section to supplement to Idle Air Control feed during idle. This hole can be slightly increased (drilled) to get your IAC counts back to where they need to be for your mods.

Re: Idle help!!!
Are you sure the IAC valve is responding? Does the PCM try and increase the PCM count when you raise the idle setting in the PCM? If the IAC is max'd out and the idle speed isn't increasing, either the IAC valve is dead or the passages are plugged or too small.

Re: Idle help!!!
I adjusted the screw and now it idles at what it was set at. Once I hook up my scanmaster I should e able to check the iac. Also I keep getting the map sensor code, 33 but only at idle. I'm sure it's the cam but it's annoying. lol
