Idle

My caar idles at about 1150. Could that be related to a dirty or malfunctioning MAF sensor?

Is the idle that high when cold, hot, or both? In gear or out of gear?

For sure when warm, don't really remember what it does when it's cold. I have a M6, so it is idle when out of gear.

Mine Idles about 1000 cold and when warm. It''s been like this since I bought the car years ago. I've never had any kind of problems with it.

Get a scan tool and check your idle that way. I'll bet $20 the tach is wrong.

i had an idle over around 1k. When I failed my smog test I scaned the car and found a leaky fuel injector. When I changes that the idle dropped back to 650rpm, just like it was when I got it.

Check for easy things like leaking vacuum hoses. Your IAC and passages might need cleaning, too.
