icm testing?

how do you test the ignition control module. its a 94 t/a. its the only thing i haven't replaced.. i can't get a manual on my car locally anytime soon.. it idles ok for a second and dies.. won't rev up without totally flooring it and it does go up in rpm just slower and not the way it should. i was going to test the fuel pump... it turns on.. but that is about all i know of it. haven't had a chance to find my fuel pressure gauge.. anyone with a solution?

If you can take the ICM to an Autozone, they should be able to test it, if you get a competent employee.
