I wonder why new optis are brown?

I wonder why new optis are brown?

It looks like its sealed better but why brown? Just so you can tell if its been replaced?

Its brown so it more closely resembles the turn that it really is.

On a serious note is yours OTHER than 'brown'?[the cap]
Stock GM caps are brown..
I would be curious to know if the aftermarket Wells caps are ALSO 'brown'[or the usual Wells red color?]
Was gonna get a Wells cap but that 120 bux price deterred that idea..
I have never seen any color but that 'puke brown' tho myself...
This also could shed light on that 'autozone opti that came with the cap and rotor' mystery[especially IF Wells caps are red?]
