well i want to do this mod but not sure what to get. What is mostpopular with this board? car just has basic boltons now might be getting a hot cam later next year.

But how hard is it to do the springs and RR's, should i let a shop do it how much would that be. Also i hear it is about a 40 hp increase is that accurate? I have LT headers

There are many Roller Rockers out there made by lots of different companies. You have to make sure the ones you are looking at will work with the centerbolt valve covers.

If you want springs and rockers now and will be installing a Hot cam later, you should just get the entire hot cat kit now. It has the 1.6 Roller Rockers, LT4 springs, and the Hot Cam.

I doubt Roller Rockers by themselves will get you 40 HP. Even if you step up to 1.6 RR, you will only get about 20 HP. Manufacturers wildly exagerate HP gains, especially with Roller Rockers.

What am i measuring spring hight for? shouldnt the LT4 springs just fit? do i need to adjust something?

Will i be putting on new studs and guideplates?
what do theys do? should i get new ones?

let me make sure i got it right befor i think about doing it myself.

take off valve cover
take off RR's? (i guess that is on shoeboxs page)
find TDC and take springs off of Cyl that are at TDC 2 at a time
measure for some reason? iduno
put new springs inplace put lockers on and release springs.
Then put on new RR's
