Maybe he has a Tornado... those are good for about 20-25 rwhp.

 

You know what, he has the dyno slip, people witnessed his run, he's not trying to brag..... chill the hell out. Just because this is the first time you have seen this much hp, doesn't mean you should call bs on him. Man thats just wrong, he may just have a factory freak!

Seriously...back on topic. 300 is very much in reach. I only have headers, catback, and cai, and i'm at 288/324 rwhp/tq. And i had a VERY slight misfire and a clutch that wasn't broken in yet...if it even made a difference. But anyway, 300+ can be done with bolt ons and a tune easily.

 

i saw it with my own eyes... that thing is a beast.
nothing wrong with the dyno either... i got on right after and pulled 396 hp and 365 torque.


i was at the track when he was running 111 112 and i about **** when i saw that.

 

oh and on topic i agree with everyone, just get the basic bolt ons and you should be there...

just if you get shorty headers dont buy the 96-97 dual cat style ones... there not nearly as good as the 94-95

 

i think lt1ponykilla is just angry that someone that didnt spend the same amount of money on mods or a cam has about the same amount of power..thats all

 

No, Im just not stupid! If he hit 335rwhp theres something not listed on his mods page. If he has a stock cam, then he has ported stock heads. No way in hell a bolt on LT1 with 1.6 rr's will hit 335rwhp. Even 1.7 rr's on these cars dont make but 315rwhp max. LS1's with bolt ons easily hit these numbers but not a LT1.

 

Think about this.You really believe that 1.6 rr's and a ported intake would give you 45 more rwhp? Ok then!

 

your missing a few... pulley, throttle body, tune...

also auto's suck up a little more hp.

anyway not every car reacts the same to mods... i've see some gain 10 from a pulley then i've seen them gain nothing.

 

still not possible with completely stock heads and no cam.

 

There is a 95 Z in town here that pulled 310rwhp with shorty headers, and stock rocker arms. Not to mention, this was at a dyno day and many people were seeing 5-10hp less than normal. Just give it a rest, you may have never seen it, but anything is possible.

 

So Hatredizm, so you know what direction you want to go with the car? I guess you are looking for a good daily driver with a reasonable amount of power?? Just remember to start with letting that motor breathe....intake and exhaust. Then go onto headers, pullies, RR's, etc. Get it on a dyno and see what happens. If you would like to see more out of the bolt ons, look for a good tune...even a "mail-order" tune can be good.

 

335 isnt that hard to believe..... I made 310RWHP/ 340RWTQ with just LT's, open Borla, and CAI, UDP..... maybe if i get some 1.6 RR i can get a couple more ponies..... and my dyno graph has a big drop spike in the curve due to running pig rich.... need a tune!!!
