I thought all LT1 vettes had 4 bolt mains??!!
I recently came accross a wrecked C4 with an LT1 so I purchased the motor. I bouhgt it very cheap so its not like I'm hurt over it, but I was extremely dissapointed when I popped of the pan and the 3 center caps were all 2 bolt!!!!
The VIN on the block was a vette VIN as well. (1996)

A freind of mine bought a run of the mill LT1 vette block ( was in a 94 auto highway geared vette) a few years ago and it was a 4 bolt main block.
I have another freind that bought the crate motor LT1s they were selling about 10 years ago and it has 4 bolt mains and a vette oilpan as well.

My LT1 was a crate motor, and it is a 4-bolt main, but it came with the correct f-body pan already on it. I got it back in September of 1999. I didn't even know it was a 4 bolt motor until I took it apart this past october. I had always just assumed it was a 2 bolt

I guess the moral of the story is that if youre buying it FOR the 4 bolt mains you should pull the pan before you buy and not take it as a given.
