Question I think my shocks are gone

Alright i just got back from getting my bmr weld in subframes put in and when i was driving home everytime i hit a bump it would be a loud bang. Now this bang is coming from where i had a small noise before. I thought it was a spare tire or something but it's not. Now all they messed with was the lower control arm and i checked and wiggled everything under the car and everything is tight. I pushed on the car and it went up and down without any noise but when i drive it doesn't make any noise until i hit a bump. I hope you guys think it's my shocks because i just ordered new bilsteins. Any other things that might be wrong?

This is happening to my car too, after SFC install, but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the preload on the lower control arms, or the bushing. It only happens on the right side. I've got new Tbyrne LCA's going in soon, so we'll see...

See the thing that gets me is that i thought it was my LCA bushing or something like that but on my g/f's car we had the same problem on the right side also just like mine. Even though hers is a ford escort i think they all work the same. Her car didn't make any noise till she hit a bump. The car bounced up and down fine when you pushed on it and everything was tight. Replaced her shocks and the noise was gone. So that's what lead me to believe that it was the shocks. I thought if it was the LCA or something like that it would be loose or something because the bushing was broke but it's not. Anywho i hope it's the shocks or im' gonna be

Rest assured that if it's not the shocks, it'll probably be something cheap anyway like a bushing or something, IF that. You may just have to re-tighten the thing on the subframe side.

It would not hurt to inspect the subframe welds, since it started after they were put on.

I did that i put it up on my friends lift at his house and there is nothing loose under there and the welds on the subframes are fine. Well i have my shocks in the mail and i hope it's those if not i'm gonna replace the lca's or take my stock ones out and hope it's a bushing or something.

I had a loud bang from the rear shock area after my Kenny Brown subframes were welded on - turned out the bolt for the driver's side LCA was not tightened all the way, causing the loud banging noises. Freaked me out, but after tightening the bolt never had problems since.
