i think i "fubared" my opti

here is what happened, car had no spark so i checked coil, ignition module, double checked wires etc. decided to check the opti with my electrical tester. all pins were dead at all times no matter how i checked it. i did it according to a write up i found on here and followed my repair manual. any who, i unplugged the harness from the opti and the connecter was so corroded i couldnt tell where one hole started and the other ended. then i noticed that one of the pins from the opti was still stuck in the harness. is this bad? can i take my opti apart and fix this or is it probably just junk now with the corrosion and broke pin. oh yeah, the opti is like 13 months old and has maybe 4000 miles on it.

ps. anybody know if summit warranties the new gm distributers?

GM optis have a one year warranty. Not sure anyone would warranty one for corrosion, as that is not a manufacturing but maintenance issue.
