i washed my engine 2day with some stp engine cleaner and then rinsed it off with water. every thing was fine for a few minutes then the service engine light came on and i got to my friends house killed the engine and got out whenever i got ready to leave it cranked up and then died and i had absolutly know power my battery was dead i tried to jump it off nothing happend WHAT HAPPEND TO MY CAR PLEASE HELP

 

maybe ruined your icm, coil, opti, let it sit for a while, then try it again.

 

but i have absolutely know power my lights want even come on

 

Check the battery terminals, most likely one is loose or dirty. If there is no power anywherre on the car, this is the about the only thing it could be other than a battery failure.

 

I guess that makes it different, like the above post, check your battery cables, follow all the wiring and such, seems strange you wash your motor then lose all power, check the fuses on the drivers side, you might have soaked the crap out of it and shorted the fuses..

 

To be honest I can't believe you sprayed that motor down with water to begin with, once you find out whats wrong with the power, you'll be then most likely running into opti trouble I would almost bet. Especially on a 94 non vented.

 

I've always had 1st and 2nd gen Camaros and may be getting a '94 very soon. I just can't imagine that you can't wash the motor at the carwash. I've always been able to do that..even with a points/condensor motor as long as I covered the cap with a ziplock.

Are these motors and components that damn finicky?

 

If your opti is sealed good and you don't spray on it directly you will be fine, also do not spray directly on the MAF.
