Powerdyne sucks. Their blowers don't spin worth a ****. You'd see more power gain out of cam, heads, & headers than you would 4.5 psi of boost, and your motor would last longer.

Boost isn't worth it until you hit at least 10#s. Anyways, you live in Cali so if you don't need to worry about smog... then go for the 306 but remember to bump the compression...

Use an .029 Impala Head Gasket...
Or, use a .026 MR. Gasket for LT1s.

You'll need the increased compression to take care of the overlap.

Or switch to an XE cam with less overlap. A 306 is supposed to be a N2O cam isn't it? Either way, it's old technology. You should look at the 230/236 or something similar.

If you've got that much money, you could just purchase an LT4 conversion kit, some other shtuff to go along with it (tuning, etc)

Why waste your money on the LT4 kit? You can make more power with a set of ported stock heads, stock LT1 intake, and a good cam.
