Angry I need a timing set

I need to find a timing set...I got a timing set through a friend at a parts store, it was a CompCams...I built this dang motor with out even noticing until now that I used the wrong timing set, the large sprocket doesn't have a large enough hole to accomodate the distributor shaft...so now I be screwed. Does anyone have or know where I can get a timing set for a very reasonable price being as I lost my job and already have every dime in this car and motor? I would probably be ok with a standard set although been told more than once to get the LT4...Please help me out here.

Do you have the stock water pump? If so, then your only option is the stock LT1, LT4, or the LT4 Extreme Duty. I'd go with the LT1, unless you are doing a realy hi-po build. In that case, you need something better. Go with the LT4 Extreme Duty. I think you can get it for about $225 from Sam Taylor Buick. Search for that, and you'll find the address.

The cheapest way to go is an electric water pump with a standard SBC chain. I got the Cloyes chain ($70) and the water pump ($135) for less than the cost of the LT4 chain. It's a much stronger dual roller chain, too.
