West Point ROCKS! Nation's TOP COLLEGE per Forbes Magazine!! Gradaution Day Parade 20 May 2010!!!
Over the course of more than 10 years, I've seen many people swear that they installed the unvented Opti, with its splined shaft correctly. I'd estimate that at least 1/2 of those people were dead wrong, and had managed to assemble the Opti to the front of the engine with the splined shaft incorrectly indexed. Next response is... "but the splines only go together one way". Wrong again.
After MANY posts he finally got around to checking it and found he'd installed it 180 degrees out. BINGO!!
I can't recall if it was on this Forum or LS1LT1.com

Any idea how old the opti is that's on the car? When I got my car out of storage a few years back, we had to replace all kinds of stuff to get it running. Before we replaced the opti, it would idle & rev pretty well, but under any kind of load you would have sworn the car was going to explode. If your opti is the factory original, you might want to inspect in closely and see what kind of shape it's in.
Sorry I haven't responded lately.. Been out of town with no internet.. I am still out of town. should be back to my car on Monday. thanks guys.. I will check everything that has been mentioned..
