LOL.... I hear the resonant sound of a yet another speed junkie.

#1: Why is the place not trust worthy? Who exactly is it? online? local?
#2: Quality parts are gonna cost you--bottom line. How much you have to spend will determine what parts you can get and, of course, the power increase you can obtain.

Let's say you have 1k to play with: That's not really going to even get you a good cam and valve train setup. However, a grand can do a bit for you:

Electric water pump, better injectors, better fuel pump. HP increase will be very little, but it will get you ready for a lot of other mods, too.
OR
A VERY modest spray kit. A good setup will cost you a lot, but a grand can get you a halfway decent (not really meant for any particular car) setup. Keep the shot low, and you'll notice a few extra hp. :P

Other things you can do include tuning the computer (wait until you have some REAL mods, though), porting your heads, LT headers (illegal because of emissions in most areas), shorty headers, etc. All this will add up quick, though. You should really be expecting to pump in a good 4k for some real power. More if you are serious about getting this thing to fly.

Re: i need help.. were are good quality parts

most of the online places seem like they arent very clear on the parts that they are gonna send u and then the prices are sometimes lower but alot of the times higher than other places idk i just want some good reliable resources to find.. alot of money has been put into this camaro and its got around 400 lbs of torque so i dont do that bad on speed im thinkin about a good nitrous kit, and a roots type supercharger, bigger injectors and different heads."whts a good size thts not bad for the price.. im thinking about building an "all motor" before i really go nuts on parts and performance. i am getting ready to leave for wyotech and when i get there im going to blueprint the block as well as port and polish and bore it out..

Since he indicates its a Z28, it would be a V8.

Re: i need help.. were are good quality parts

its a 1996 z28 5.7 v8 lt1 6 speed.. its also got a corvette rear end and gears im having a couple problems with it... it keeps lagging and then its like i can double clutch and punch it and i wont have any problems.. but sometimes i dont have the problem and sometimes i do.. the last time i did a diognostic test on it, it was the o2 sensor 1 bank 2 i think which is the down stream one. the check engine light after i let my dad drive it and he went over a speed bump and bottomed out. im thinking it either broken or the wires came loose or even came off but i just have been to busy at work to look.

OK, I'm lost. How do you have a Corvette rear in there? Either it's very old(Corvettes have had IRS since 1963) or you're very good at fabrication.

Do try to fix the outstanding issues before introducing power upgrades. You'll make yourself crazy chasing down gremlins if you don't....

"Granny shiftin not double clutchin like you should!!" lol sorry every time I hear double clutch thats all I think of.

from what i've seen headers seem to be the cheapest highest hp gain, about 300 dollars for around 20hp give or take.

Edit: Just read what you had in your sig for mods. I'm a huge fan of a good set of heads and cam. gives the LT a very nice power boost.

I would like to see a pic of this rear end set up; it would be interesting to see just how he did it.
