I need everyone help....

Guys a while back ago I sent my head to have a Stage 2 porting. After finally installing my heads and cam the valve springs and valve seals break. Oh yeah this is only after 3 month of them being on the car. I now want so sue the company that did my heads. After fixing them in STAGE 1 Performance in Jersey the guy told me all the dampers where broken and the valve seals looked used. I now don't even trust the port job. Hopefully with the info below I could win my case.

I need to know what kind of valve springs you have on your car, how long you had them, whether or not you spray, and how many times you've been to the track?

WHat exactly are you wanting? I'm kinda confused, do you need the price of the springs etc? or just that if he ported them he should have checked all that and replaced the seals as well as done a valvejob?

Basic questions:

Did you change cams or rocker ratios along with the porting?

What is the lobe lift on intake and exhaust ?

Did you change valves along with the porting?

Were the heads milled?

What are the part numbers of the springs?

Did you check for correct pushrod length after the porting?

Did you use new pushrods? Shorter or longer than old ones?

Are any of the pushrods bent?

Who reassembled the engine?

How high do you rev it after the porting?

Do you spray?

I'm not a lawyer, but if one consulted with me those are some of the questions I would suggest they ask you during a deposition. I'd also want to see all the bits and pieces.

Oh, I did stay at a Holiday In Express recently.

I'm not sure what it is.

Valve Job 3 angle

Stage II porting

Valve 1.940" IN / 1.500" EX Manley Stainless

Springs 1.250" Double Installed

Seals- Umbrella

Lock & Retainers 7 degree Comp Cams

Milling .005"

Flow- 235 cfm IN / 180 CFM EX @ .500" lift

These were all supposed to be new parts.

Did you check for correct pushrod length after the porting?

No, said the stock pushrod will work fine

Are any of the pushrods bent?

No they were not

Who reassembled the engine?

Local Shop

How high do you rev it after the porting?

4K

Do you spray?

Nope and has not even gone to the track yet.

What does local shop say about the problem?

3 months and you've never taken it over 4000? You have more will power that I've ever had.
(I started driving legally in 1959. Even my 1950 Pontiac straight-8 with cast iron(!) pistons revved higher than that.)

If 4000 rpm broke valve springs, my first guess is coil bind. That should be checked during reassembly.

They told me no new Springs would do that. Either the spring they put on it where wrong or used. Same thing with the valve seals. I haven't taking over 4K cause with a month after doing I thought I had an Intake leak and then this BS valve crap with Spring crap. Turn out it was the heads all the time. I mean all the dampers in the springs were cracked in pieces. I kept everything. Oh yeah they offered $100 to make me go away. The new parts alone were $170
