Re: i need 500 rwhp......

Heres the deal, I went with a nitrous set up because as a daily driver you dont have it on all the time like a supercharger and when you need it you just flip the switch. I safely added 100 HP without a lot of trouble or costs or constant wear on my engine. By the way my NOS kit is for sale , everything you need for an additional 100+ HP. I bought a 2001 SS and selling my 97 LT1 and the Nitrous kit seperate, its off the car and ready to go. Send me a email or PM budebuzz@aol.com if interested.

Nicks right, and hopefully he will be giving me my motor back in about a week, with the same results

Cheep way to get extra 200HP from stock 300. NOS. Now if you don't know that your doing YOU'LL blow your motor.

If you want reliable without going into 5K get a Turbo from STS. You can easily make 450-500. Kit is $3200. Its a direct bolt on. You take your muffler of and bolt this kit on.

500HP and LESS $$$$$ DOES NOT GO TOGETHER

With that HP you'll need a beefed up transmission, rear end, fuel kit, whats the point of having that power and no traction so you'll need better tires, oh yeah that you'll need to stop this car somehow so a big break kit. Don't forget the suspention too. SUBFRAME CONNECTORS. so easily $10,000. Because if you get the turbo or even NOS you'll just destroy the Z without the proper mods. TRUST ME ON THAT ONE>>>>>>>>>>>...........

Don't worry about 500hp right now... if you're daily driving your car, you won't be much once you get in as deep as you think you're going.

Start out here if you want prices and ideas of bolt-ons. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showth...81#post2682281

Full boltons and a 150 shot should be low 12's maybe even 11.90's.

CAI, Headers, High flow cat (if u keep it), catback, then tuning by madwolf or someone. Also a set of drag radials would help out tons. If you can cut a good 60ft you should be able to hit low 12's maybe high 11's on a good day.

Re: i need 500 rwhp......

"I want 1000hp, from 1k-8k rpms, enough handling and braking to make Michael Shumacher look like a newb on the track, smoother ride than a 200k Mercedes luxury car, and daily driveable.... What will 10 dollars get me?"

In fact, that's going to be my new sig.

I know that's not what your trying to say but I had to say it.

Anyway, back on topic... I know it's not 500rwhp, but the best bang for the buck in my opinion is a CAI, cutout and a 150 shot. You would be somewhere in the mid to high 300's at the wheels untuned for around 700-800$ (if you get the parts used)... Very similar to the setup that I have except I have lca's, adj TA, and SFC's, and I've been side by side with cars that trapped 93 in the 1/8th...
