Stumble. Again.

The Formula started stumbling last week. This is different than before. Whenever I stomp it, it just falls flat on it's face. But, if I ease into it, it does just fine. I can't figure it out. I was thinking maybe the TPS or I have a plug wire breaking down? My first thought was the Opti. Any suggestions?

Re: Stumble. Again.

plugs and wires.

my car started stumbling two weeks ago, and my first thought was to mail a crate of failed opti's to gm headquarters. it had a huge miss, backfiring, and no power. i changed all the plugs and they all looked fine. when i went back for the plug wires the next day, i got them all changed and when finished i noticed that one boot was totally cracked and the wire inside was destroyed.

now my car runs fine. i'd check the simple things first. $35 bucks and i was back on the road.

Re: Stumble. Again.

I have found to check for a leaky water pump... if one of the bolts backed out it will cause a bad opti sounding problem. I just fixed a horrible stumble from re-installing my water pump. If it isnt that, then check plugs, wires, fuel FILTER, recheck plug wires
