and the car has a lot of back pressure noise now. When I tach it up it sounds good, but when I get off the gas it pops alot and sounds terrible. Did anyone else ever experience anything like this?

 

Mine does that too......dont bother me..

 

yeah this happens to us all. the popping is just louder without he cat there to muffle it and burn off excess gas which has been said to cause popping. my advice... learn to shift faster and you wont pop so much

i like it when it pops and scares the crap out of people walking by my car

 

yeah but anyone can backfire, not everyone can have the nice sound without the pops

 

I have stock manifolds and cat and it pops like hell when downshifting the tranny manually. The Flowmaster gives it a nice tone though so I like it. LTs and off road Y might make it a little irritating if it's a lot louder.
