I just cut my cats of my z!

I was a litle nervous at first about doing this, but after talking about it with u guys for the past week, I finally decided to get it done. I drive with my cut out wide open 24/7 and now that i have NO CATS my car sounds SICK!...THis setup probably isnt for everyone, but for all of u guys that like LOUD cars, I HIGHLY recomend it!...I am so exited..BTW i havent notice any decrease in torgue or H/p both seem to be higher...I definitly feel i gained high rpm h/p!...ok im done now. I just wanted to share it all with u all!...

cool man. im actually supposed to be gutting mine tommorrow. ive got all stock exhaust now so we're just going to unbolt everything at my friends shop, gut them, and bolt everyting back up. im a little nervous about how its going to sound with a stock muffler, but we'll see. it'll definitly help out some performance-wise when im on the juice. cats really arent good when your spraying. ill be getting my Loudmouth cat-back before long, so that will help things out alot then.

anybody done gutted cats with stock muffler? if so, how'd it sound?

I have a gutted cat and just disconected the catback from it and bolted on side of the flange on to hold it on... talk about loud I got chased by and angry off duty cop... forgot he lived in that neighborhood, oops, but I evaded and havent had a cop show up at my door yet and its been 3 days so Ill hope for the best. Since I bolted it back up because there is no doubt about it I would get pulled over.

I had my cats cut off a long time ago. That caused my engine light to come on until I got my o2 sims. If you plan on getting some computer tuning done anytime soon, you may not need the o2 sims. Especially if you do the OBDI conversion computer. He can basically eliminate the o2's in the rear so you wont need to waste you money on them.

I also have and exhaust cutout with 3'' cat back system. That thing is too loud. I can only ride with it open for about 2 days then it gets real annoying. To hear your radio over it, you have to blast at full volume and dont try to have a conversation with a passenger, its not gonna happen unless you scream at each other. LOL

Gutted cat + Loudmouth =

I drove my z around with a gutted cat and loudmouth for about 3 months. I've heard honda's that sounded better. So I bought the Dual/Dual from turbo_z (thanks!) and I love driving my car again plus many have commented on the diffrence.
