Yes, No and Maybe.

Ask the folks you select to do your heads what extra gains to expect from porting the manifold and the associated cost. Decide if it's worth it. Also ask them to suggest a cam for your particular combination.

Definitely don't try it yourself.

Just to add some fire to the discussion, when I put on my ported intake manifold I actually lost power on the dyno. But that's back when my heads only flowed ~240cfm at the time so my intake manifold definatly wasn't a restricton. So if you have stock heads or near stock heads leave the intake manifold alone. But if you have ported heads contact the porter and see what they have to say.

I remember you posted about gains after having an intake ported some time ago. WHat kind of heads were you are you running?

All I knew at the time is that the heads were ported, but I had no idea how much they flowed. If they flowed 270+ cfm I'm sure it would have showed a gain.

i talked to the guy who did my heads he said he wouldnt do my intake as the heads realy only have a clean up port job on the intake side but opened up the exhaust quite a bit so ill hold off till i get new heads and send em off for one of there port jobs
