I have TCS, do I need the TECH2 for bleeding brakes?

I have TCS, do I need the TECH2 for bleeding brakes?

The title says it all....I have read in various places that you need the TECH2 scan tool to bleed the brakes if you have TCS. Why is this? Is there a way to get around it or do I have to use the TECH2?

Please let me know...thanks guys.

No, just bleed them like any set of brakes. If you can't get all the air out the lines the first time, do it again. Simple.

OK...sounds good. One question though, why do they recommend doing it with the TECH2?
