Use the search function, there was a thread about this last week I think with several ways to get off the hub. Basically you need to make sure that you aren't pushing against the hub so you need something small enough to slide in in place of the bolt or do like I do and get a 7/16x20x4 inch bolt and thread it in the crank and use it to push against.

alright listen to me. i had this same problem as you and almost resorted to pulling the engine. i spent almost 2 full days figuring this **** out so listen to me.

go to autozone. rent the puller made by chrystler (sp?). use the longer of the 2 bolts they give you in the kit. first tap around the outside of the hub with a small hammer. itll come right off without breaking a sweat.

i bent 3 grade 8 bolts, snapped wrenched, knuckles. trust me.. do that and you should be a-ok. let us know when you get it off.

Or just get a steering wheel puller, and grind a bolt so it will fit in the crank and bottom out there and wont hit the threads. Then use the puller against the bolt. I did this yesterday for the first time and had no problems.

PLEASE notice that I bolded the part where you have to remove the stock bolt and replace it with a longer one, if you don't do this you will get nowhere.

Oh gotcha, I got you some pics coming soon. There are a couple tools you can use although I've only used a balancer/steering wheel puller. You can rent them for like $10 at the auto parts store or you can buy them for anywhere from $15-$25.

Here is a picture of the balancer puller. Notice on the far right there is a 7/16x20x4 bolt you will use this in a second. This is the way I do it and others won't agree, but it works for me.

Ok, here is what it looks like, take the stock bolt out and replace it with the 7/16x20x4 bolt I pictured earlier, you do this so you will have enough travel to get the hub off.

After you swapped bolts the longer one will stick out past the front of the hub and you push against that. I have already put my motor together so I didn't want to go swapping bolts for your pictures so in the picture you will see the drive bolt going into the hub, but in all reality when you do this it will be outside the hub.

Then you just tighten down the drive bolt and it will push against the bolt head and pull your hub off.

Now I have a 3- jaw puller as well and I have never used it to pull a hub before because I'm scared it will snap the ears off the hub but it's another alternative and is a multi functional tool as well cuse you can pull timing gears off, pullies, etc. Anyway set up is the same with using the longer bolt to push against.

what if i buy 3 5/8 bolts thread them into the crank hub and use the same puller for the pulley then use a rachet extension to go through the hole and push against that?

Ratchet extension is defintely a way to go because you don't touch the crank threads and take a chance on screwing them up. As far as using the pully puller on the bolts instead of the ears of the hub you could try that, but I'm not sure how much grip the jaws would have on them. It might keep slipping off the bolt heads when you put tension on it. Like I said I've never used a 3-jaw before on a hub so I don't know. You could try it though.
