I have A few tranny questions, Please try to help me

Well, about 3 years ago my tranny crapped out on me so i had it rebuilt. With kevlar coated clutch packs and a 2800 stall, as well as a 2800 stall converter, (yank I think)

This tranny has done well, always chirping shifts , never slipping. Heck it even help up to a 100 shot sprayed through the shifts numerous times. But , I do not think that this tranny was designed for the poewr I am making now. I have the mods in my sig and it does see the bottle . Last night I was driving it through town and ran 2nd gear up really high and it didnt jerk like it used to do on the 2-3 shift. So I thought, well, I'll try it again. Same thing, Only a little softer shift. Normally I wouldnt be worried, but this tranny has about 20k on it and I feel it is on its last legs.

That is THE ONLY THING it is doing strangely. Fluid doesnt smell burned, 1-2 shift is still "okay" But not as firm as usual either.

Could this be the low vacuum from the cam causing this?
I have the HOTCAM KIT.

IF not, Please take time to point me in the name of some reputable people to build a tranny for me that will hold up to about 400 hp (counting a 100 shot). Thanks in advance.

i dont know much about tranny. but, you should not be spraying through shifts.....get a window switch, and leave your tranny alone. it will last a lot longer

sounds like it is starting to slip,do you have a trans cooler?

My 4l60e was built 2 years ago,i spray a 150-175 shot and spray through shifts.
we decided to check the fluid yesterday at my tranny guy's shop,and it looks perfect,smells new looks like it went in yesterday.

Im not sure who is good in your area,but 12scndz is in MD and can build a helluva 4l60e (he built mine) also Deltrans in Newark DE can buld some strong 1's too.

Nobody around here knows their butt from a hole in the ground. I was thinking about going to cmotorsports or flp, dunno which is better.
Does anyone else have any input on this matter?
Looks like I am going to go ahead and buy a new one for safety
