I drilled 1 left and 1 right 1/8" holes! IAC is still 160 ?!?

Total size is 1/4" !!! I made a research here and read, to not go more than 1/8", but today I did 1/8" hole for the left and 1/8" hole for the right. IAC is still 160. When I adjust the screw it drops around 70-80 but I couldn't reach by making holes on by TB. BTW car doesn't die anymore as before, but I want to get 30 IAC. Should I drill more???

Have you verified that the IAC passage isn't plugged up?

I don't get you? Could you explain clearly? I hope I didn't drill butterflies too much. (1/8" right, 1/8" left)

The IAC passage is what's behind the TB, it's the little hole between the TB holes.

Do you know your TPS voltage? or the % open its at when you are at idle?

You want to get that down to the stock levels then see if you need to go larger with the holes in the blades.

I had to drill my blades also, I have a 1/8" hole in my left butterfly, she is about 80ish at idle in open loop but in closed loop she will come to like 40ish or so

My TPS voltage was around 0.70 so it was normal. I didn't get it, totally I open a 1/4" hole (two side 1/8") and couldn't lower the IAC from 160.
BTW while I'm driving IAC is moving all the time, at most around 50. But at idle it is 160.
Should I continue to drill??

Sounds like you have a leak or something else wrong, don't keep drilling since they are not easy to close back off!!!

Okay I stay here. My idle speed is still around 950 so there is no problem. I even changed and get a brand new IAC sensor. Leak from where? My idle is too lumpy, and shakes the car a lot. My vacuum is 72kpa btw.

That's not very much vacuum. How big is the cam you're running?

I noticed while I push the break pedal, my idle suffer, so maybe its related to the vacuum.

Can you verify that your IAC is working properly? Can you clean the passages and swap IACs?

Yeah if the brakes change things its vacuum reltated. I've run cams with more overlap than that so I don't think it's related to that.

I changed and get a brand new IAC, so thats not the problem.

My Vacuum is around 72-73kpa, I don't know if it is too much or not. But what is the explanation that I can't lower the IAC from 160 to 40s ? When I adjust the screw its okay, I can reach 50-60, but by drilling I can't move it.

Why did you drill it if you could move the screw and get it w/in spec? Was it too much for the TPS? And we're working on an explanation for why you can't get it where it needs to be. The vacuum leak is a possible problem that will cause the IAC counts to be too high.
