I broke this.

I broke this.

Before I pulled the motor I went to disconect it but snapped it right off instead. First, what is it? Second, part number.?
I spent a half hour looking through the manual and can't find it. Pic is a little blurry but as you can see it's on the back of the block. Thanx

That's your oil pressure sensor. It's VERY common to break as it's very fragile. It's GM part number 10201491.

yep, and I broke mine too this spring doing my heads. Then I broke the replacement I bought while installing it, be careful when you put a wrench on the new one.

Its funny that you mention that. I broke my new one during the install. How tight is tight?

Torque spec is 106 in-lb. There is an oil pressure sensor socket you can get at Autozone, Advance, etc.

Mine cracked and seeped oil for about 2 years before I found it... I only found it cuz I pulled the motor to freshen things up...
