Jim, are you also saying that since we didnt buy the coilpacks+ICM from you and even if they are new stock that you will not cover the system?
I got the same Northstar coils and coilpack off of ebay for $140 (same guy I'm sure). They were new GM parts. I started the car last night with the new delteq and open headers, runs well. Hard to tell how much smoother it is since I have open headers at the moment.

Jim is a good guy to do business with.

Re: I am a believer!! (DELTEQ)

If the Delteq fails after 1 year, will the maximum repair cost of the delteq = the purchase price, or is there a set price for replacement if the unit can't be repaired?
I am really considering getting this system as I have 2 bad opti's (messed up rotors) with good optical sensors. My brother is also considering it for his 96 Trans Am since he goes through optis like they are going out of style.

Will you be making a system for a regular SBC as well?

Re: I am a believer!! (DELTEQ)

Are there any pictures of the unit being mounted somewhere other than the valve covers? I know you can mount it down low somewhere, but have not seen any pictures of that yet? While not an ugly system, and not excessive, it still adds to the clutter on top of the engine, and I personally think that having it low would just look alot better. But, I have yet to see how it is mounted, so I suppose I cannot make that judgement yet.

if you can change your oil, headlight bulbs and have done your own plug wires or plugs before, you can install DELTEQ. it is that easy to do. hardest part is routing the plug wires!

Re: I am a believer!! (DELTEQ)

Ken, ever thought about mounting them on the firewall? there seems to be plenty of room back there for them. they'd be out of site out of mind and you could use the bracket that the DELTEQ came with
thats where i'm gonna try and relocate mine to after my new plug wires arrive

Re: I am a believer!! (DELTEQ)

Hmmm that sounds really good actually!
The only problem i see is the wires connecting to the ICM probably wont reach with it all the way back there...

Yes, you can get the MSD DIS-4 ignition box. This is what I am using on my car.

If you wanted a custom wiring set up no problem i can have it made up with longer ICM wire .... (it will cost a little bit more but i can make one up for you if you go that way.

Kmook Check out this page of my web site and you can see what the radator mount looks like.

I can upload some more pictures later tonight of what the bracket looks like without the coils bolt to it... if you like.

thx Jim

Re: I am a believer!! (DELTEQ)

Don't like the radiator mounted way and us with a 96-97 ram air SS don't have the room on the drivers side valve cover or ontop the intake. So what are some other options?
