I am about to disable VATS tonight, what steps to follow?
I've got the resistor made to match my key and ready to put into the car. Now, do I need to unplug the battery, or unplug that airbag plug???

All you would have to do is unplug the small orange vats wire under the drivers side dash and plug the resistor in it. Just make sure you don't cut the yellow airbag wire. You don't have to disconnect the battery or anything.
