i almost feel stupid asking this but...

would regular old SBC rocker arms work on an LT1? i can get a set of nice roller tips for realtively cheap but it only specifies for small block chevy. thanks.

They should work fine as long as they are for a 3/8 stud. If they arent self aligning then youll need guide plates also.

If they are aluminum they may not fit unless they are "narrow body" for center bolt valve covers.

they're chromoly, i've seen the picture and compared them to a set of aluminum LT1 rockers. these are far narrower. plus i just don't care for aluminum, i'd trust steel especially since my mostly stock car isn't revving past 6k they don't have to be super light.

Aluminum-bodied rockers designed for perimeter valve covers have wider trunions, and won't work with centerbolt valve covers.
