every car is different. in order to get the BEST shift points for your car, you need to dyno it, and set the shift rpm a couple hundred rpm LOWER than peak power, that way you dont ever fall out of the power band. just what has worked best with cars using Ive seen using LT1 edit and LS1 edit, they got the best track times with it shifting just before the power peaked.

I have 3.73's also, and I can't grab traction out of 1st so it is set at about 5500rpms right now. Rest shift at 6k.

i had mine conservitaley (sp.) set at +2,+3,+6

worked good for my car, u have to remember LT1s dont make much power up top....i think about 5500 rpm is where they begin to drop if i remeber right

the setting for those were
1-2 - 5975
2-3 - 5875 (I think)
3-4 - who cares, lol

dyno test would be best proof and help u the most.
