not much IMO. they are completely useless unless u are using it for shift points or rev limiter SOLELY!!!!!!!

u can only tune in one manner (to my knowledge) and that it is just by using the hypertech power tuning option.

u will gain A LOT more in a custom tune/dyno tune or even a mail-order tune for that matter.

just my experience with it.

Well I am kinda strapped on cash for a while. I was just hoping this would give me some more power at least until I can get a good tuning from some place. Any guess on if the hypertech will give like 10-25hp? My buddy did it on his 01 GT and it made a world of difference.

Go here:

www.ws6.com

Go to his perforamance mods section. He has a dyno of what the Hypertech programmer did for him.

His website said it gave like a 5 or 6hp gain on the dyno. How much do you gain from the madz28.com tune? I was looking at their site and there are several different options. Which one do you get that is the best but not too bad in price? For that $125 is that for a whole new custom computer? When you get it is that when you send your computer back as a core? Hopefully the computer isn't too hard to take out....

PS: Sorry for the million questions. I'm a noob!!

The PCM is 2 bolts, then it's out. It's right there on the passenger backside of the engine bay. You can send him yours and he will program it and send it back.

I think he guarantees about 13 rwhp with his tune.

I had him tune mine. I should get it back tomorrow.

For $125 +13 shipping I had a bunch of stuff done.
remove speed limiter
delete rear oxygen sensors
Knock Retard Desensitizing
Performance Tune
Lower fan turn on temperature
Raised redline to 6000 RPM

Hey Dan, keep me posted; want to know you feelings on the new tune. If you feel it was worth it or not? I just might go the same route.

Thanks,
Rob
