Dyno tests - maybe 10-12 years ago - in a national magazine on a 96 LT1, showed that the "power program" lost HP compared to stock, except when combined with the 160* t'stat. Independant tests (including mine) have shown no measurable gains in HP. Other than that, some features are useful such as the ability to change the rev limiter and speed limiter, adjust for rear axle ratio changes, etc. But you could get your PCM programmed, or buy programming software that would provide real gains for less $$$$$.

Welcome to the site. Great place.

Someone had a dump of a HPP+ years ago that was floating around the internet. After comparing it in Tunercat to a stock flash the only really differences were in the shift tables. I don't remember the spark tables having any changes.

You have the 110 speedometer and the top speed limiter because when your car came from the factory it had non-z-rated tires on it. Cars with z-rated tires got the 155mph speedo and no top end limiter. The hypertech will do it but there are better/cheaper ways to do it.

Make me an offer I have 1 I can sell you. They are good for changing rear end ratios, eliminating the top speed limiter, firming up your auto shifts, changing tire sizes, turning on your fans earlier, etc...

Use these guys instead. Cheaper and way better than Hypertech.

Please do not offer to sell items in the tech forums. If you have something that someone might be interested in, just send them a PM.
