Question hypertech programmer

I noticed the part numbers for the programmer on a 96 and 97 or different, can I use a programmer for a 97 camaro/firebird on my 96?

Pretty sure it will work. But if you haven't purchased one yet, I suggest you go with a Mail order tune instead.JMHO

I have got a 96 HP+ I am about to post in the forsale section.

I see that you are from Texarkana... I about 1/1-2 -2 hours from you if you are interested.

I was once told they were different, but I don't know why they wouldn't work.

Yes, you can use a 97 one on your 96. As long as it's not a really old one and you've got an update calibration in your PCM. Then even a 96 won't work.
