Hydrolic Roller Cam Specs
Hydrolic Roller Cam Specs
What should be max lifts for a Hydrolic Roller cam??? I mean the end lift limit of a hydrolic roller.. Some people say higher than 560 lifts is a solid roller cam.. I got a cam suggestion from a company for my 383cid 210cc AFR heads.. This is a hydrolic roler cam and the specs are 237/245 duration , 582/592 lifts 113 lsa.. Any opinions about the cam specs??? Anything wrong??
Its a street/strip car for that reason lsa is 113.. (mostly street & daily)

Re: Hydrolic Roller Cam Specs
Nothing wrong with any amount of lift, all depends on the springs you run with it and how good those springs are (meaning how long are they going to last)
To me that's too much LSA on a 383 cam but I can't say too much because I would have to look at everything etc...

Re: Hydrolic Roller Cam Specs
For 582/592 lifts how much pressures springs can you suggest?? comp cam 985 dual will be fine?? (164 lbs on seat)
I told them that I will use 150-200 shot nitrous and also I drive some times in traffic ,so they gave me 113 lsa..

I know... I just do things differently that most places... seems to work.
Anyways.... I've never seen the Comp 985's work really well on a head. If I knew the .200 duration I could give you a recomended pressure on the seat with a dual.
I would look at a beehive on that puppy. It will control the valve better even if you are running a aggressive lobe on that thing.
