HVAC stuck on top dash vents, no matter what position!
I had got out of church and moved the HVAC control form off to the floor and it just stayed on the top dash vents. After screwing around with it, whenever i would acclerate from a stop, let off the brake, or just keep screwing with the control it would make this plasticky sound like two pieces of plastic together and hitting something. I am guess this is the divertier door, and then it would finally go to the position i wanted it to.
How do i fix this? I know it is vacuum related. What do i do/

I had a piece break off the vacuum lines and it made the diverter act all wierd. I can't remember if the top or the bottom vacuum line (one goes to the fuel pressure regulator, the other to the HVAC system) on the passenger side of the intake manifold.
That line will go to a little check valve, which might be broken (its only a few bucks at Autozone), then check all the lines around it. One I think goes to the control box, the other goes to the vacuum canister under the battery tray by the horns.
