OK Im gonna just part this thing out if I cnat fix it because im so sick of problems...Hers the deal.. Old motor spun bearing but ran perfect before that. Got new 383 shortblock built by APE. Put motor together heard knocking and had this hesitaion problem also. Tore motor down to see that the cam retainer bolts backed out and chain hit cover which put shavings in the pan which spun bearing again after 100 miles...

Now I have the motor back together once again and I have this damn problem.. The car is getting 11-12 pounds of vacuum with a decent size cam 236/245 114lsa .569/.580..which is pretty normal, maybe not perfect but not far off what it should be...
Now for the problem
Idling=car idles pretty good sometimes drops down a little or hangs but it hasnt had time to learn yet either...If I give it gas slowly it sounds good and is pretty fine..If I blip the throttle i will sometimes get a backfire out the intake.or just lots of cracklin like when a car is real rich which it probably is.

Driving= No power under 2500rpms completely hesitates/bogs etc...
If I slowly give it gas its ok but has soon as i go past 1/4 throttle or more it will just completely bog and backfire...Also every time I push the clutch between shifts I get thatbackfiring out exhaust sound from being rich...
When coming to a stop the car wants to die, which could be simple things like iac counts etc..
When I scanned car on last motor I got high voltage map sensor code so I now have bought a new connector with a working clip on it hoping that fixes the code but my sister is borrowing my laptop so i dont have it right now to scan with

Things that are new have less than 100 miles on em are the following....
Clutch=Mcleod street twin
New wires(otvc), PLugs (gapped@.38)
Opti Brand new
INtake 1le elbow
Tps sensor
KNock sensor
O2 sensors
Injectors
All other sensors have been replaced too before but have probably 2000 miles on em
Also it is obd1 converted and tuned by madwolf

Can't confirm this yet, as I only discovered the problem today. But I had a bundle of wires laying on the passenger sider header. How/why it happened I don't know, but I am guessing this is causing my big miss/hesitation. I replace opti, coil, knock sensor, plugs and wires twice. Checked my fuel system which is visusally/electronically within specs. So something to check to see if when you put your motor back in, if for some reason some wires got tore off or burned.
