Hub Question

Well, I just put my dampner hub on my 97 Z28 and I inadvertently aligned the arrow on the dampner with the hole for the Woodruff key (long story short had an *** next to me bitching about "where' the Woodruff Key?" and got my mind off what I was doing) instead of up top. The hub is all the way on my question is this. Should I remove the hub and reinstall it or leave it since its suppose.

It won't hurt anything to leave it like it is.

As long as you don't use the arrow on the pulley to reference piston position, there is no reason to align the hub. I never trusted the arrow anyway as there isn't anything to guarantee that the hub didn't move. I upgraded to a keyed hub for driving the blower anyway.

Yep... the damper is neutrally balanced. There is no heavy side. If some retard tries to convince you the holes in the damper are to balance the rotating assy on a LT1 they know not what they are typing/talking about.

Of course, the retarded factory service manual says that the holes in the pulley are sometimes used to fine tune the unit and if there are weights in any of the holes, it should be re-installed aligned properly to avoid vibrations.
