i 1994 camaro z28 with 77k mile it has slp cai, performance maf, 58mm tb, ported intake manifold and msd kit i was just wondering what the h i would after these mods

 

I wouldn't assume anymore with stock manifolds and exhaust.tb and intake do hardly anything without exhaust. Basically cai so im gonna say 290 or so. That's being generous. Get some long tubes and full exhaust. Should put down 300+ with those mods.

 

The only item you listed that would actually improve performance on an otherwise stock engine is the CAI. 10-15HP max. What is an "MSD kit"? What parts are included?

Are you asking about rear wheel HP or flywheel HP? If rear wheel HP, what transmission do you have?

I too have a '94 Z28 (4speed auto) and as much as I'd like to throw on all the bolt-ons I can, I'm looking at 3.40 gears and a 2800 stall.

Power is one thing, putting that power to use is another.

 

Agreed, and I would add that the "performance" MAF is more likely to cause problems than help.

 

I replaced my "performance" Maf back to OEM after the tuner said the car would be easier to get tuned with it.

 

Msd kit is all wires and ignition with the opti and the transmission is 6speed

 

I forgot to mention that I also have borla muffler no cats

 

The MSD opti is pretty well recognized as a step BACKWARDS from stock.
If you put an ignition box on it that was a complete waste, even on my car I see no gain and if anything a tiny loss from an aftermarket ignition box.

 

I run the msd opti and must be one of the lucky ones bcuz it seems too work . I wouldn't say i notice a difference but with the streetfire cdi and msd6al u can customize ur rev limiter also.
