hp #'s with 227/230 cam?

First off I would like to give combination motorsports props. They helped me big time. They also know their stuff. I just ordered 227/233 cam and nsa 1.6 rockers. I was wondering what kinda numbers I can expect with stock heads.
I have: headers, exhaust, cold air, 2800 stall, 3.42's. I am just curious to see some guesses before I strap the vert down to a dyno. Is it possible to be around 340rwhp? My main objective is for this car to be faster and sound better than my old 94z with all the bolt ons and the hot cam. Guess away.
thanks
Brandon

I think you'll put down 300-315rw. You need some heads and the fact the you have the suto-tragic eats up somemore hp.

I ordered the exact same stuff as you for my 93. My mods are the same as well, except I have 3.23's

From what I've read and heard, 330-340 rwhp should be easy with this cam.

Dave at Combo told me they did 2 stock headed cars with this cam. 1 6 speed that had like 381 rwhp, and an auto that did 350 something to the wheels.

350 from an auto with that cam on stock heads? Sound too good to be true. I'm not gonna knock it, but lets pretend I'm from Missouri right now. Most LTx don't make 350 with a cam AND heads. Any dyno sheets? Is it possible they are LT4 castings? That would explain a little more.

I don't think 340 is unreasonable

Aren't there tons of hotcam cars putting down 320-330?

You would need a crappy tune to not get above 350rwhp with heads and cam.

i agree an lt1 with a cam and a nice set of heads , or just ported ones would throw down a nice amount of hp.. around 350 i would think.. 325-350 --- in between...

I talked to Dave at Combination the other night.

Cam only gave one of his buddies 40 additional HP.

That puts him in the 330 range on stock heads and other minor stuff.

Dave feels that with a set of really good heads there is know reason why this cam couldn't get a car in the 360-375 range with proper tuning.

I kicked around that 233/239 for awhile but I just didn't want to spin my car that high to make power.
I also ordered mine on a 113 LSA because I do have to drive in some traffic and this will help later when I do spray at the track.
