HP gain and thoughts

In about two weeks I will be dropping some major cash on some mods. I was thinking a LE package(most likely LE1 or whatever Lloyd reccomends), ported intake, and a Vortech S trim blower. What kind of power and 1/4 mile times could i expect? With the LE package I will get the major support parts plus i already have what's in my sig. If anyone knows of any problems I may run into please don't hessitate, let me know. I am also open to other suggestions.

BTW---The car has 115k on it but runs strong with no leaks.

ttt... I just want to know if it'll be worth the cash and if I need parts that a newbie wouldn't think of.

Well i would go ahead with the heads/cam thing on the stock motor but that and a blower wouldn't be to nice to those stock pistons. My setup didnt make as much as the le1 and a stock piston broke. I would go with a forged bottom end if you want to run boost, other wise you'll only be able to run 5 or 6 psi and that won't be worth running a blower.

I agree your going to blow your engine if you put a blower on the stock bottom end.

Ok, so roughly how much are we talking to put in a forged bottom end? As far as the twelve bolt that was a plan for this winter since I'll only get a few passes on the planned set up before the track closed. Also a built trans. Am i running a big risk of blowing it with the LE setup? Thanks guys and if you've noticed I also posted in the FI forum with a little more detail in my goals but it's basically the same so you can disregard it. I hadn't gotten a reply here yet so I thought I put it in the wrong forum.

I would say to get it going good with just the le1 or 2 setup. Get your car to run right and get good at driving it and get some traction and that should keep you busy for awhile. And if you really wanted you could spray it some every now and then, but that would be hard on the stock bottom end.

If you do decide to go the blower route plan somewhere around 5k to build a good stout one. Do it right the first time.

That looks like it's about the only option I've got at this point. BUT DAMN I WANT A BLOWER!!!! You're right. I'd better do it right the first time. Curiosity though, what would you think of say a LE2 setup on a forged 396 shortblock? The dream has always been a blown stroker.
